Ambassador series: Pearl from @seedandhome

Ambassador series: Pearl from @seedandhome

Welcome to our second week of our brand ambassador series! We're so excited to be hosting Pearl from @seedandhome. Keep reading to learn Pearl's favorite plant care secrets (BRILLIANT!!), where she draws inspiration from when styling her home, and what she wished she knew as when she was just starting out with plants.

Hi Pearl, thanks for joining us! Tell us a bit about you:)
Hi! I'm Pearl, I'm originally from Canada and moved to California almost 7 years ago. I'm recently married and my husband is from France, I'm also fluent in French so we speak in a mix of English & French at home. Plants and interior design make me so happy, and I'm very passionate about taking care of our planet, so I'm always looking for ways to live more sustainably.

Where do you go to for inspiration when styling your home?
Pinterest, instagram, youtube (I watch a lot of interior design videos) and books about design or art. I also take a lot of photos of the interiors and exteriors of restaurants, buildings, and stores for inspo, especially while traveling.

What’s your favorite plant styling or plant care hack?
I always use leftover water from my tea kettle to water my plants which has 2 benefits; it's great for plants that are sensitive to tap water, and it saves water from going to waste!

What’s something you wish someone would have told you before you started growing plants?
That it takes time and practice to learn how to best take care of your plants, and it's an ongoing process. I've learned so much over the last few years, and I still have plants that are grumpy or die occasionally.

What’s your spirit plant and why?
I'm going to say monstera deliciosa! They're pretty low key and chill to take care of, and when they're happy they grow really fast. I also love that the fenestrations (holes in the leaves) occur so that light can get through to their lower leaves, nature is so thoughtful :)

Make sure to follow @seedandhome for more gorgeous styling and plant recommendations.
